8 Mukhi Rudraksha comes under the beloved son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvarti i.e Lord Ganesha. 8 Mukhi Rudraksha is also considered as the symbol of Bhairo Dev.

The term Rudraksha (Rudra i.e. Shiva + aksha i.e. eye) stands for the eyes of Lord Shiva implying thereby that it was pleasant to the eyes of Lord Shiva, and hence named in His Honour.

How to wear 8 Mukhi Rudraksha ?

8 Mukhi Rudraksha must be worn after Siddhi (method of purification & charging with Mantra). Before sending the bead to you, we always perform Siddhi free of cost. It should be worn on Monday. Wash it with milk.
The Mantra to wear 8 Mukhi Rudraksha is “OM HU NAMAH” but one can also wear it by chanting Lord Shiva’s Beej Mantra i.e “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA”.

Why Rudrakshas are oiled?

Rudrakshas are oiled to sharpen their color and to clear them. Oiling doesn’t change a low quality bead into fine quality. Oiling is done only to improve the skin and strength of the bead. ALWAYS keep the bead oiled. After regular cleaning, oil it and treat it with incense. This is of UTMOST importance, especially when not using the bead for sometime, or storing it for a while.

How to check quality of Rudrakshas?

Many get confused with the shape and size. One should not seriously worry about it. Just see that the Mukhs are well defined and corns & contours are natural.
